Family History is my hobby.  I am not a professional genealogist.

My Woolven Ancestors

I may have 3 links into the Woolven or Woolvin tree.

The first is with a 5x Great Grandmother, Ann Woolven who married John Freeman in 1776 in Ashurst, Sussex.  She was born in 1753 and was the daughter of Thomas Woolven and Mary Neeve.

A 6x Great Grandmother was Mary Woolven who married James Matthew in 1709 in Twineham, Sussex.  She was born there in 1687 and was the daughter of Henry Woolven and Mary Jupp who married in 1686 in Shipley, Sussex.

And a 9x Great Grandmother may have been Mary Woolvin who married Richard Norman in 1633.

I still have a long way to go in trying to sort through the various Woolven families, so please don't take what I have said as gospel.  Much has been cobbled together from various sources and I have yet to find and read Wills, and perhaps there are details Manorial Records.  Also, I have generally called them Woolven, and eventually I will try and include in these pages the spelling of their surname at the various events.
