My Piper Ancestors

A 7x Great Grandmother was Elizabeth Piper, who first married Richard Head in 1702 and then as a widow married William Heath, widower in 1720.  She was born, married both times and buried in Sutton, Sussex.  Her parents were Thomas Piper and Joan Carver and she was their only known child.

Thomas was of Sutton when he married Joan in 1682, although I've not found his baptism in the parish.  Joan was then said to be of Burton Hammer.  There was a Thomas Piper baptised in Coldwaltham, Sussex in 1633.  Both Thomas and Joan were buried in Sutton and I assume they lived there from at least 1682 until their deaths in 1701 and 1738.  During that time they would seem to have been the only Pipers living in Sutton.
