I have 2 links into the Markwick tree.  The first is via an 8x Great Grandmother, Mary Markwick who married Robert Smith in 1706.  At the time of their marriage they were both of Wadhurst, Sussex, which is where my 11x Great Grandmother Annes Markwick married John Barham.

Elizabeth Markewick, singlewoman of Wadhurst, proved on 14 February 1630 - available for down load from the National Archives.

Gregorie Marckwyck, yeoman of Flottingden in Wadhurst, Sussex, proved on 29 November 1592.  (I am very grateful to Sue for sharing a transcript of his will - thank you Sue.)

James Markewicke, yeoman of Wadhurst, proved on 31 July 1612 - available from the ESRO, ref. C 122.

Joan Markwick, widow of Wadhurst, proved in 1566 - available from the ESRO, ref. 2,73.

Peter Markwicke, mercer of Wadhurst, proved on 14 October 1635 - available from the ESRO, ref. E 139.

Richard Markewycke, yeoman of Wadhurst, proved in 1564 - available from the ESRO, ref. 2, 57.
