The Will of

William FREEMAN (c1610-1677)


In the name of God Amen the five & twenteth day of August in the year of our Lord On Thousand Six hundred Seaventy & Six I Wm Freeman the elder of West Grinstead in the County of Sussex yeoman beinge sicke and weake in body but of good & [---] minde & memory do make & declare this to bee my last Will & Testament [---] forme followinge First I [---] [---] into the hands of Almighty God my maker my body to the earth to bee decently buryed att the descresion of my Extor hereafter named & as for what worldly goods it hath pleased God to bestow on mee I dispose of from [---] [---] [---] First I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Dorothy Woolvin wife of Thomas Woolvin the sum of Forty pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid by my Extor hereafter named within one year after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandchild John Browne the sum of Sixe pounds of lawfull money of England to bee paid him by my Extor who shall pay the money at his age of one & twenty years Item I give and bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Elizath Browne the sum of five pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid over by my Extor when she shall accomplish the age of eighteene years or att the day of marriage what shall first happen Item I give and devise to my [---] sonn William Freeman & his heirs forever all those may messuage lands & premises with their [---] of their appurtences lyinge & being in Washington & Horsham or else where in the County of Sussex & all the rest of my goods chattells  & [---] whatwoever after my death & Legacies paid and funerall expenses discharged I give & bequeath to the aforsaid Wm Freeman my son whom I make whole and sole Extor of this my last will & Testament & I [---] Richard [---] parish of Westgrinsted yeoman John Lindfield of the same to bee overseers of this my will to be [---] and assisting to my said Extor and to be [---] [---] [---] [---] In witness [---] [---] to this my last Will & Testament I [---] here unto sett my name [---] the day & year above written the [---] [---] [---] Wm Freeman [---]- signed & declared to bee [---] [---] [---] [---] of the said Wm Freeman in [---] & [---] of [---] [---] [---] [---] [---]
