Moses BROOKES (c1595-1661)

 

In the name of God Amen I Moses Brooks of Shipley in the County of Sussex Taylor being very sick of body yet praysed bee God of good & perfect memory revoking all former wills doo make this my last will & Testament I doo give & commend my soule to God [---] gave it And I committ my body to lye [---] [---] it [---] [---] I give & bequeathe to my sonne Moses five shillings Item I give to my daughter Elizabeth five shillings Item I give to my Grandchild Mary Brooks one shilling Item I give unto Elizabeth my wife & John my sonne all the rest of my Goods & Chattells whome I make my whole Executors of this my last will & Testament whereof I have here unto sett my hand & seale the Third Day of May One Thousand Six hundre Sixty & One 1661 Moses Brooks his marke & seale Witnessed hereunto Thomas Dendey ~ Edmund Burkman his mark
