The Will of

Thomas BOURMAN (1682-1705)

 

In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Bourman of Burish in the County of Sussex Marriner being in bodily health and of sound and disposeing mind and memory and considering the perrills and dangers of the Seas and other uncertanityes of this transitory life do for avoiding Cont---] after my decease make publish and declare this my last will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) First I recommend my soul to God that gave it and my body I commit to the Earth or Sea as it shall please God to order And as for and concerning all my worldly estate I give bequeath and dispose thereof as followeth that is to say First I will that all my debts and funerall expenses be first paid and discharged And all the rest and residue of all and singular such wages sume and sumes of money Lands Tenements Goods Chattells and estate whatsoever as shall be any wages one oweing or belonging unto me at the time of my decease I doo give devise and bequeath the same unto my loving mother Elizabeth Boarman now wife of Henry Wilsham to hold to her heirs and assigns for ever And I do hereby nominated and appoint John Robins full and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament here by revoaking all former and other wills tesaments and [---] of [---] by me at any time heretofore made and I doo ordaine and ratifie those present to stand and before and as my only last will and testament In witness where of to this my said will I have sett my hand and seale the fourth day of February Anno Din one thousand seaven hundred and one And in the thirteenth yeare of the Reign of his Majestie King William the third over England  Thomas Borman signed sealed and published in the presence of us to be the last will and testament of the said Thomas Boarman ~ Wm Sherwin ~ Willm Collings ~ Jerome Collings senr near the Kings Yard Gate at Deptford
