William BAXTER (c1620-?)

and Sarah HULL (1623-1680)

 

William Backster and Sarah Hull were my 9x Great Grandparents.  They married on 28 September 1640 in Haslemere, Surrey.  (Click here to see their place in my pedigree chart.)

William Baxter's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

Sarah Hull was baptised on 22 February 1622/3 in Haslemere.  She was the daughter of Peter Hull.  As Sara Baxter, widow she was buried on 27 August 1680 in Haslemere.

 

William Baxter and Sarah may have had the following children:

  1. Elizabeth Backstar was baptised on 22 February 1640/1 in Haslemere, Surrey.

  2. William Backstar was baptised on 29 May 1643 in Haslemere.

  3. Robert Backstar was baptised on 28 June 1646 in Haslemere.  He may have died aged 81 years (as per the burial register) and have been buried on 29 November 1730 in Haslemere.

  4. Peter Baxter, my 8x Great Grandfather, was baptised on 21 March 1648/9 in Haslemere.  He married sometime before or about 1681.  (He has his own page.)

  5. John Baxtar was baptised on 26 November 1652 in Haslemere.  He married Jane before or about 1688.  (They have their own page.)

  6. Nicholas Baxter may have been born about 1660.  He married Elizabeth More on 4 February 1685 in Haslemere.

  7. Edmund Baxter was baptised on 2 July 1662 in Haslemere.  He married Joan Farnham in 1689.  (They have their own page.)

  8. Henry Baxter was baptised on 30 October 1665 in Haslemere.  He married Jane Vallers on 8 December 1698 in Hascombe, Surrey.  They were both then of Haslemere.  Henry and Jane had the following child:

    1. William Baxter was born on 24 September and baptised on 12 October 1699 in Hascombe.  He had the following child:

      1. Mary Baxter was baptised on 4 May 1746 in Hascombe.

 

James Baxter had the following son:

  1. Edmund Baxter was baptised on 3 March 1719 in Hascombe.

 

John Baxter and Mary Pinson married on 13 April 1734 in Hascombe.  They had the following children:

  1. William Baxter was baptised on 7 November 1735 in Hascombe.

  2. Mary Baxter was born about 1737 in Hascombe.

  3. Sarah Baxter was baptised on 29 December 1738 in Hascombe.

  4. John Baxter was born about 1741 in Hascombe.
